Woven Watercolors

Most of these woven watercolors are constructed by painting two fairly similar paintings, then cutting them in opposite directions.  Often the paintings are done on yupo, a synthetic paper with properties much different from traditional watercolor paper resulting in vibrant and exciting color.   Recently, these woven pieces have been purchased as gifts for weddings and anniversaries because of their unintended symbolism of how two live joined together become a brand new entity.
