Summer 2016 has been a summer of experimentation. With continued reading on things like eco-dying and rust painting, used mostly on textiles, I had to give it a whirl on paper as well. Rust dying involves just what it sounds like: placing rusty old things on paper and getting impressions on the vinegar soaked paper. The results are unpredictable, messy and fun. I gathered together 16 pieces of my experiments and embellished them with string and buttons and lace and hand made paper and made this composite which I call 16 Reflections on Aging. It is up to the viewer to decide what those reflections are! 15×15″ $300
