The painting started when I came into the possession of some watercolor paper that I had never used before. It was very light weight (90# instead of the usual 300#) and soft. Waterfalls were on my mind as was this rusty red color. Playing with it one day, this image of a waterfall started emerging and I ran with it, pleased with the rather magical look that began to take shape.
