By the Light of The Thunder Moon

Is there anything that beats watching the full moon come up on a hot July night cradled by the mountains and floating in a beautiful lake along with very good friends? Probably not. This rather unusual-for-me watercolor was done the next morning while the savored memory still lingered. It is painted on yupo with very “juicy” watercolor and is meant to be my impression of that experience of what the Native American’s referred to as the Thunder Moon.
