Light at the River’s Edge
There was a lot of experimenting going on in this particular piece. The scene is a spot along the Ocoee River but, of course, could be pretty much anywhere. I wanted to catch the light filtered through the trees and bouncing off the water. Paper was coated with a rough acrylic ground that left the surface like sandpaper. The paint did some interesting and unexpected things.
